Welcome to the online application system for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP). DVAP is a nonprofit organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income residents in Dallas County. Eligibility for our services is generally based upon your income, assets, and type of legal matter you have.

The next few screens will explain how our online application system works. You will be asked to say that you understand how it works by selecting yes or no. You will be asked questions about your income, what assets you have, the people who live with you, and questions about your legal matter.

The application will take about 15 minutes to finish. You cannot save it and try to finish it later, so please make sure you have time to work on it and that you have the information available before you start.

In order to use this online application, you must have an email address for us to contact you. After review of your application, DVAP will contact you to complete your application. You will also be notified by email if you are not eligible for our services. If you apply for legal services using this online application, you do not need to contact the local DVAP office or attend a legal clinic. We will contact you.
